Today, the New York City-native Des Rocs releases the second single from his forthcoming debut album, A Real Good Person In A Real Bad Place. The highly anticipated album will be available on September 24 via 300 Entertainment (Megan Thee Stallion, Highly Suspect) and kicks off a 20+ date tour in iconic venues around the country featuring special guests The Velveteers

Last month, Des Rocs released “MMC,” the first single from the forthcoming album. The track received instant praise from critics worldwide. Today, the newest single, “Imaginary Friends,” creates a fresh perspective to all the voices in our head. Fans have jokingly commented that Danny has “gone off the deep end” upon listening to it.

“Imaginary Friends” is a personal anthem that draws from a well of escapism. For me this song brings up all the darkest parts of myself – the journey of the last few years – and deals with all that darkness in one sort of manic exhale.

~ Des Rocs

Beginning the album with its rich electronic tones, Danny’s cool vocals then cut into the scene with a brisk motion that will buckle the knees of any listener, new and old. In peak isolation, the voices pour into the mind and ensue chaos. Des Rocs offers the fighting words much needed to cope with what many of us have had to learn to face in peak isolation.
