1. “BASSLINE PEOPLE” – MADGRRL, Flawx
In an electronic whirlwind of a collaboration, MADGRRL and Flawx have dropped their latest single, “BASSLINE PEOPLE.” This tech sensation is sure to ignite intensity around the globe, with heavy synths and pitched-up vocal loops forming the foundation of the four-minute track. American techno producer MADGRRL continues to ride her wave of success after releasing her latest single, “Dance For Me”, which has since amassed 160k+ Spotify streams. French-born producer Flawx brings vivid new energy, with future shows at FZW Dortmünd, KM25, Escape DS and Slalom.
“This release marks an exciting new chapter in my music career—my first collaboration with an American DJ and my debut on the Basscon label,” says Flawx. “Fun fact: This track evolved dramatically from its initial version to the final cut, taking on a completely new energy along the way. We set out to create something truly ravey, blending hard techno elements with intense reverse bass vibes. I’m thrilled to share this powerful and dynamic track with everyone.”
2. “Manipulate Me” – Miranda and the Beat
Miranda and the Beat have unleashed “Manipulate Me,” a punk rock track the delves into a fresh headbanging kind of energy. It features a catchy “try to manipulate me” chorus sandwiched between layers of fast-paced lyricism and unrelenting guitars. The track is the latest pre-release single from the band’s new 12-track rock-n-roll album, Can’t Take It, out today via Ernest Jenning Record Co./Khannibalism in North America. Miranda and the Beat have also just finished a New Orleans Record Release show on Oct. 29 at Santos, located in a city they are now able to call home.
3. “Need Somebody” – 311
Next is “Need Somebody,”a rock-filled release by Nebraska-based band 311. The lyrical composition of this piece is a reminder to stay true with the communities around you. It combines elements of reggae and funk with easy-going melodies and driving basslines. The new song comes off of 311’s 14th studio album, Full Bloom, which marks their first full length project since their 2019 album, Voyager.
On Full Bloom, 311 says, “We hope fans can take from this album 311’s message of positivity and unity. In today’s world it’s so easy to become alienated by the pressures of everyday life. Whether it’s social media, stress at work, an illness, the list goes on. It’s so important to stay open with your loved ones and community so we can all thrive in full bloom.”
4. “Holy Ghost” – Jutes
Canadian native rock artist Jutes has released their latest single, “Holy Ghost,” a track that follows the story of unrequited love in death. Produced by Keith Sorrells (Demi Lovato, Alessia Cara) and Alex Niceforo (John Legend, Rita Ora), the new song features intense drums and emotional vocals that pay homage to early 200s punk and emo music. The track can also be found on Jutes’ new album, Sleepyhead, which holds nine tracks plus an additional two extra versions of the eponymous starter, “Sleepyhead.”
“‘Holy Ghost’ is like an extension of my last song ‘Vertigo,'” says Jutes. “‘Vertigo is about someone who’s dying and coming to terms with it. ‘Holy Ghost’ is about a fallen angel coming back to earth and falling in love with someone who doesn’t even know they’re there.”
5. “SPANK!” – HiTech
Closing out Friday is HiTech‘s “SPANK!”, a new single that highlights the Detroit-based trio’s creative fusion of ghettotech, house and hip-hop skills. The song was initially premiered as part of HiTech’s set on The Lot Radio, leaving many fans in anticipation of an official release. With a contagious bassline, repetitive melody and everchanging rhythms, this energetic track is another electronic dance anthem sure to be heard on the floor. Continuing their performance success, HiTech boasts sold-out shows at Boiler Room NYC, Chicago and Austin. They are currently traveling across the UK and Europe supporting Nia Archives on tour.
