This week in #NMFDance we are treated to fresh releases including a special release from the vault! Let’s dive into a few of our favorites.
1. deadmau5 – Jaded
Long term fans of deadmau5 will have already heard “Jaded”, but over the years this is a track that became incredibly difficult to find as it was not released on any platforms. Deadmau5’s signature sound of melodic elements and a driving kick truly shine on this rerelease “Jaded” all of seventeen years later. While the energy is on the minimal side for this one, the emotion and harmony felt from this makes it our top pick for this week’s #NMFDance.
2. Seth Hills, Lauren Nicole – On & On
Anybody beginning to miss festival season yet? Seth Hills and Lauren Nicole have you covered with “On & On”. This track takes the beautiful voice of Lauren Nicole and combines with a driving and powerful dance section to create a main stage ready song. The break of this song is really strong as well as it gives a less energetic section for Lauren Nicole’s vocals to shine. This track will easily become one of those where listeners cannot help but move throughout it’s entirety.
3. Vintage Culture, Fancy Inc, Meca – Electricity
“Electricity” by Vintage Culture, Fancy Inc, and Meca have delivered an energetic house track that blends smooth, groovy basslines with vibrant synths. Vintage Culture’s signature style really stands out here, especially in the break section that features the catch vocal sample that leads back into the main dance section. The production on this track deserves a shout out as well, as this is one of the “cleanest” out of all the tracks we have listened to today.
4. Armin Van Buuren, W&W – Late Checkout
Let’s pick up the tempo a bit with “Late Checkout”. This song is sure to be utilized well at both pre games and night clubs alike. After all, that is exactly the atmosphere the song is working to deliver. You can gather this just from listening to the lyrics, “Tonight it’s going down. Whole rooftop full of red cups. Yeah drinks are on the house.” But really it is the high energy dance section filled with driving beats and kicks that make this track a stand out.
5. Simon Doty, DJ Pierre – Come Together
Rounding things off for us here is one of our personal favorite artists, Simon Doty. This time he combines forces with DJ Pierre to create “Come Together”. Right from the opening of the track we hear that classic Simon Doty euphoric club sound. The vocal sample that is over the top of the melodic breaks is so easy to latch onto that it feels hypnotizing. This is another tune that will be utilized deep into the night on dance floors across the globe.
