Over a year after his critically acclaimed sophomore album, Good Days, which has garnered over 45 million streams to date, Broken Back returns to the release radar with an energetic new single. “We Go” effortlessly evokes a sense of sheer awe, placing listeners in the DJ’s picturesque coastal hometown of Saint-Malo, France, which is where he drew inspiration from for this upbeat track.

Despite being an established talent in the electronic space, life was not always about music for Broken Back. With a spirit for entrepreneurship, he burned himself out at 22-years old by attending classes during the day and running his own start-ups by night. But he was not one for restricting himself, so he pulled out his classical guitar during a period of convalescence as the result of a back injury and recorded a few of his own compositions. And Broken Back was born.

Now his driving force is a popular refrain from Albert Cohen – “Misfortune fathers tomorrow’s happiness.”

“We Go” is an exciting glimpse into what is in store in 2021 for this steadfast artist. Various instruments open up the single, accompanied by a textured, flowing vocal cut. The pace of the charismatic beat picks up with every turn of a second, enticing listeners to take another step into the energetic world created by Broken Back. And every step into that world means a step off the couch. The propulsive driving beat is very reminiscent of that of samba music, which means it’s just begging for dance moves to accompany this entertaining melody.
