“Faded Like A Feeling” Is Tegan And Sara’s Latest Single From Their Forthcoming Album Crybaby

In anticipation of their upcoming album, Crybaby (out October 21st), Tegan and Sara already dropped two singles, “F*****g Up What Matters” and “Yellow.” Now, they’ve released their latest single from Crybaby, “Faded Like A Feeling,” a song about the mysteries of why someone stops loving their partner. This is highlighted in the chorus, “Been a while since we talked/ You feel like a stranger/ I ran out on your love/ I wish you didn’t blame me/ I changed like the seasons,” along with, “Even when I was lying/ Right there next to you/ I was nothing but shadow/ Even when I was crying/ Right there next to you/ I was nothing but an echo.”

The duo also dropped a music video for the song, which is directed by Mark Myers and takes place in a waterfront playground. Tegan and Sara are on a swing set, staring forlornly into the distance as they sing about the ever-changing nature of love and relationships.

Along with the release of Tegan and Sara’s tenth studio album, the twin’s Amazon Freevee series High School (based on their New York Times-bestselling memoir) debuts its first three episodes on September 10th at Toronto International Film Festival (official debut is October 14th on Amazon Freevee). Tegan and Sara also recently launched their Substack newsletter, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” and announced their graphic novel duology, Tegan & Sara: Junior High (Out May 30th, 2023) and Tegan & Sara: Crush, written by Tegan and Sara and illustrated by Tillie Walden.
