DESERT DAZE ANNOUNCES 2022 LINEUP FT. TAME IMPALA, IGGY POP, KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD

Every year, as the leaves turn and summer recedes into autumn, festival-goers flock to the historic Joshua Tree area for one last sweltering hurrah. Since 2018, Desert Daze has made Lake Perris its annual home––just about an hour and a half southwest of Los Angeles. Visitors are welcomed by a beautiful lake, sandy shores, and well-kept campgrounds for three nights of music, art, and general reverie.

This year, from September 30 to October 2, Desert Daze returns to Lake Perris with a pretty stellar lineup to celebrate 10 years of art and music. Daze isn’t the only one with a big birthday; headlining the festival is Tame Impala, who’s celebrating the 10th anniversary of Lonerism with an exclusive live performance of the full album in its entirety. Pretty sick, huh?

Additional headliners are Iggy Pop with his only North American show this year, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard with an exclusive Southern California set, Chicano Batman, The Marías, Sky Ferreira, BADBADNOTGOOD, Mild High Club, JPEGMAFIA, Perfume Genius, Aldous Harding, Men I Trust, and a whole handful of others. For additional info and ticket sales, visit the Desert Daze website here.

This year marks a return for Tame Impala to the main stage in Moreno Beach, who in 2018 had their headlining set cut short when a massive storm rolled in. Four years later, they make an epic return to perform their groundbreaking second album Lonerism, in its entirety, on the weekend of its 10th anniversary. But the return of the Desert Daze festival this year is a big deal for visitors and performing acts alike. Called the “oasis among American festivals” by Stereogum and “America’s most aesthetically pleasing” by Rolling Stone, this isn’t going to be something you want to miss.

So if you find yourself with a bit of wanderlust this year as summer comes to a close, or you’ve been itching to get out west, convince some friends, rent that van, and don’t think about the gas prices. Desert Daze 2022 isn’t something you’ll want to miss.
