Indie-electronic DJ duo, Dance Yourself Clean, are back with a new single that you’ll want to put on replay. I mean, I’ve listened to it about 10 times already. Between the groovy dance beats and relaxing vocals, it’s so easy to just get lost in this song.

Dance Yourself Clean started in Seattle (2013) as an indie dance party that grew into the first touring dance party in North America. After moving to Los Angeles to expand the party and create their own record label (Lights & Music Collective) and producing for other artists for years, “DYC” decided to turn their party into a music project. Releasing original music and remixes using the party’s moniker “Dance Yourself Clean.”

The duo worked with heartwarming singer/songwriter, Trenton, who writes powerful songs inspired by his own emotions and experiences to create something impactful for listeners. Between the three of them, they have created an upbeat yet bittersweet track with “Upside Down.”

The driving bassline and shimmery synths will definitely get your head bobbing, at a minimum. But under the angelic melodies, funky beats, and pleasantly calm vocals, the message is one about having your trust broken, and ultimately, having your heart broken (or turned upside). However, there is also a silver lining to the lyrics – realizing that the person who broke your heart doesn’t actually deserve your love. The bouncing instrumental and hopeful lyrics make this the ultimate anthem for anyone who’s taking back control of their heart.
