Dance Monkey (Romario Remix) – Tones and I

From Kingston, Jamaica, music producer Romario brings a stylistic combo of electronic, pop, dancehall and reggae. He’s nearly perfected the multi-genre mold, and with it has released a new remix of Tones and I’s #1 global hit, “Dance Monkey.”

This remix sped up “Dance Monkey”‘s tempo and vocals, giving the track an instant shot of energy. The beat drops with an array of detail—electric vibrations, a pulsing piano—bringing a multi-layered texture to the chorus we all know too well. Remixed by Romario, mixed by Ariel Borujow, and mastered by Ricardo Gutierrez, this remix pulls the dancehall genre out of Romario’s production, while hinting at all other aspects.

Arguably the best “Dance Monkey” remix, Romario brings a fresh, diverse sound, setting the remix apart from the original. Free-stream “Dance Money (Romario Remix),” available on YouTube!
