Cordae and Anderson .Paak Live Up to the Hype in New Music Video for “Two Tens”

If you haven’t seen the hype already, you don’t miss Cordae and Anderson .Paak’s new music video for “Two Tens.” The music video was produced by rapper and record producer, J. Cole – where the two artists tell a story in a place none other than the club. It begins with Cordae saying, “Me and my… Anderson pull up to the club, and I don’t even like goin’ out forreal but my… tell me pull up, I pull up easy.”

As they pull up to the club moving past the line and the narrative of Cordae dies down, the song immediately kicks off with a smooth beat and a chorus that sucks you in:

“Two friends and they both tens, lookin’ nice, uh / Too bent, I should call it quits but I’m not, uh / No chances, we all dance in the light, uh / Tell me, what’s the odds we can all get a bite? Uh (Uh, okay)”

Anderson .Paak raps the chorus as they move into the club with a dance rhythm and good energy, looking to see what they can find. It becomes clear that Anderson .Paak is the only one seeking a good time when Cordae begins with the first verse that turns into a rap conversation between the two.

Because the conversation is a bit explicit, we’ll let you hear the song for yourself for the exact lyrics – though the gist is that Cordae thinks they should keep to themselves, whereas Anderson .Paak is clearly under a spell when it comes to women. Cordae seems to have some opinions on this, as he says,

“See I’m not tryna be overbearin’ or give you a lecture / I just want you to see this sh** from a different perspective / See every h** is a dog, and every dog has its day / You can’t be lovin’ on every mutt that be fallin’ astray”

While the lyrics can be a bit jaded, the music video passes the vibe check with its aesthetic and suave depiction of each narrative, especially when the two artists are shot together.
