Who doesn’t love a little summertime sadness? Experience soulful emotions with Irish singer-songwriter Cian Ducrot’s latest single “Here It Is.” It is a stunning piano ballad that pulls at heartstrings globally. His powerful, husky, and captivating vocals immerse the listener, with lyrics that express denial and heartbreak. Ducrot sparked curiosity among fans when he teased the single during a concert in February, leaving much to be desired.

Ducrot’s rise to fame has been a lifelong journey, beginning at the Wells Cathedral School, a prestigious music school in England. Despite setbacks, such as an unsuccessful The Voice UK audition in 2016, Ducrot persisted with his vision, cultivating his craft for the next four years. In 2020, he released his first mixtape, Started In College, which then landed him a record deal with Darkroom/Interscope Records. Since then, nearly 4 million monthly listeners have recognized Ducrot’s talent. Furthermore, in 2023, his smash debut album Victory reigned at #1 on the UK and Ireland charts. Following this exponential success, “Here It Is” commences a full summer of concerts and festival appearances, including In It Together Festival and Isle Of Wight Festival.

“Here It Is” was co-written and produced with Tristan Salvati, whose resume boasts names like Angèle and Louane. The track opens with a soft, mid-tempo melody, providing a contrasting yet cohesive base for Cian’s raspy vocal timbre. He questions how to move forward in a relationship, singing:

Can we hold it all together in pain
Or, when it hurts to love, is it better to break?

The song leads the listener through a story of collapsing love, aided by emotionally dynamic vocals. The song authentically displays Cian Ducrot’s refined style, resonating with existing fans while also poised to charm a fresh wave of listeners.

“Here It Is” marks a reminder of accepting when something is over and learning to move on. The track could present a double meaning as a transition between “the old” (previous album) and “the new” (upcoming album?). On track for stable success, Cian Ducrot continues to assert his talents for all to enjoy.
