Chicago Hip-Hop Artist Austin Filmore Challenges Toxic Masculinity with his Heartfelt Music

U Lie I Cry” was created by Austin Fillmore in a time where he was experiencing a feeling that most can relate to – Heartbreak.

Austin Fillmore has always utilized his writing to express and truly feel every emotion that he encounters. He created the movement #ThinkLessFeelMore to not only take a stance against toxic-masculinity, but also to encourage and educate his fans on the importance of staying in tune with our emotions. When you allow yourself to feel every emotion, you also allow yourself to heal from every emotion that ever caused you pain and sorrow.

What makes this song different from his other work?

He was in a state of mind where he couldn’t grasp what he was feeling; therefore, he was unable to do what he does best… write.

So, as any artist would do, he poured himself a glass, pressed record, and out came the raw, naked truth.

“You lie
I cry
I cry
I cry
Help me up”
