Cheers! The New Single From Jukebox The Ghost Urges You To “Raise A Glass”

On September 8th, Jukebox The Ghost released their new single “Cheers!” which mixes Queen-inspired stadium rock with the signature Jukebox The Ghost sound: piano driven alt-rock that gives inspiration to those who might be considered “outcasts.” “Creeps” and “weirdos,” if you will. Ok, that was corny, but you get where I’m coming from.

“Cheers!” was released as a single to promote the band’s upcoming US tour (they have already started it at the time of writing this review) aptly titled “Cheers! To A Tour.” It is also a signal to fans that new music is on the horizon. While the band hasn’t explicitly announced that a new album is on the way, “Cheers!” is the perfect lead single for any project. It has a catchy hook, lyrics that everyone can relate to, and a sound that drives crowds to join arms and sing along.

For those that may not know, Jukebox The Ghost “formed in college in 2006 and has been a steadily growing cult favorite and a globally touring band ever since. Composed of Ben Thornewill (piano/vocals), Tommy Siegel (guitar/bass/vocals) and Jesse Kristin (drums/vocals), they have played over 1,000 shows around the world over the course of their career. In addition to countless headlining tours, they have also toured as openers alongside Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Folds, Guster, Motion City Soundtrack, A Great Big World and Jack’s Mannequin, among others. In addition to festivals like Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Bonnaroo, and Bottlerock, Jukebox the Ghost has also performed on The Late Show with David Letterman and Conan.” They’re absolutely worth your time.

Check out the lyric video for “Cheers!” below! As always, be sure to let us know what you think of the song and the band!

Obsessed with all things music. Finished that MFA, so now I’m apparently a master of this. Bouncing around state borders, going wherever. If you see me at a show, say hey!
