You’re Not Delirious, Charlie Puth is Back With A New Heart Wrenching Single, “That’s Hilarious.”

At this point, no one is a stranger to the Diamond Certified, 20x Platinum, 4x Grammy-nominated, singer, songwriter, producer, and musical genius that is Charlie Puth. Co-written by Puth and JKash, “That’s Hilarious” is a hard deviation from hits like “Light Switch” and “Attention,” trading the heavy production for honest and heart-wrenching lyrics.

Written to help Puth tell the story of his worst heartbreak, “That’s Hilarious” features angelic, gospel keyboards, punchy bass, and the most perfectly placed choir of “haha’s” within the chorus of the song.

In Puth’s own words, “This is the hardest song that I ever put together and I’m so excited for you to hear it.” In a continued effort to demystify the production process, Puth gave listeners an inside look at his creative process through a series of TikTok videos that detailed the various stages of the song’s creation as well as the meaning behind the song.

I’m starting to think this album is going to be my best yet….wow 💡

Whether or not you’ve been through a horrendous breakup, “That’s Hilarious” speaks to something that every listener can relate to: being under appreciated.

“You didn’t love when you had me, but now you need me so badly. You can’t be serious, that’s hilarious.”

The story always seems to go that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone, and this is an experience that Puth shares in his new single. Unfortunately for Puth, this cautionary tale is “just another lesson [he] learned,” but for audiences, it is a brilliant and catchy song that will have you singing along in no time.

“That’s Hilarious” will be a part of Puth’s upcoming album, Charlie, which is set for release later in the year. If his latest work is any indication of what’s to come, Charlie could very well be his greatest record to date. While you’re waiting for the new album’s release, make sure you check out “That’s Hilarious.” To make sure you stay up to date on all the news from your favorite artists be sure to stay tuned with Glasse Factory!
