Caro Miller is a 22-year-old pop & R&B artist and songwriter based in New York City. She combines her roots in classical music training and understanding of complex music theory, inspired by some of her favorite such as Jacob Collier, Imogen Heap, and Ariana Grande, to create a unique and soothing sound. Committed to her dream of being a full-time professional recording artist and songwriter, she has set a goal for herself to release a new single every month of 2021. Priding herself in having written, performed, arranged, produced, mixed, and mastered almost all of these songs 100% by herself, Caro hopes to inspire and empower other young women to be self-sufficient creators and work towards their dreams with passion.

Her newest single, “I Don’t Need (Fake Friends),” is a song all about self-love and self-empowerment. It’s a soulful, lo-fi track with lively guitar strums and tenderly toned lyrics. Caro shows an impressive range through her engaging vocals. She draws her voice up and down to emphasize the different lines of her lyrics. Her ethereal layers captivate and energize listeners. There’s no beating around the bush to figure out what her message is. She’s done putting other people first when they put her last. She’s not going to surround herself with fake people who don’t support her or who aren’t there for her. It’s a message about setting boundaries and about knowing yourself well enough to know what energy you want to attract into your social circle.

With this touching message and charming production, Caro creates a pleasing sonic experience for listeners. It’s easy to listen to but drives home an important message – sometimes it’s better to be alone than to surround yourself with those who only drain your energy.
