Ghosts are scary and could definitely make us scream our kings out. But at the same time they are a reminder of what we will be when the Grim Reaper comes a knocking. It’s an inevitable reality that follows us throughout our journey here on earth. Perhaps it’s also there when we sleep and we just don’t notice. Not to sound paranoid, but it’s a fact of life. Released April 12^th in all major platforms via vcnlm_/ Atlantic. ‘Chasing Ghosts’ is a harmonically gorgeous track talks about a haunting of a different kind. A ghost arising from the ashes of a torn down and dying relationship. All the memories good, bad or sweet show up in all aspects of daily living further destroying both the lover’s sanity.

Straight out from the horror genre or the psychological thriller. ‘Chasing Ghosts’ warns us about putting ourselves out there too much without keeping anything for ourselves in the end. With vocals so raw and a duet so heart breaking, both Viisi and Chelsea Collins manage to make us feel the pain in every word. Not to mention the intricately rich instrumentals that pulls us in leaving us mesmerized and in tears all at the same time. Albeit not a melancholic ballad, it has a way of tugging on your heartstrings and touching your innermost love demons.

Sure no haunted houses or areas where visited in this one, but the ghosts in the context of romance is pretty clear in the tune. These might not be former humans, rather a presence of heavy emotions from a once flourishing partnership. Leftover bad vibes that reside in places you’ve been together, the things, food and the experiences shared. Moving on won’t be an option UNLESS these entities vanish. Unfortunately no spirit detective or ghost hunters can do that. It all starts with you and how brave you are to finally face the truth or in this case face the music.
