Brian Robert Jones Adds a Sun-Soaked Spin to Soft Streak’s “Wallow (BRJ Remix)”

Read Time:51 Second

Just as the weather starts to cool down for the season, a new version of Soft Streak’s “Wallow” seems to teleport the listener to a sun-soaked patch of grass in the middle of spring. The L.A.-based experimental electronic duo released the original version of “Wallow” back in 2019, but this fresh update turns the track into something new almost entirely. The song features lyrics and melodies similar to the slow-tempo yet dance-able style familiar to fans of The Japanese House, but it’s infused with a little extra groove courtesy of Brian Robert Jones of Vampire Weekend. From the first few seconds, an airy distorted vocal track draws the listener into a synth-driven paradise. With this remix as a preview to a debut album, this duo is definitely one to keep an eye on!
