Breakaway From The Pain In Lex Leosis’ ‘Too Close’

Being close to someone, someplace or something is natural. We go out into the world daily and make connections whether online or outside. Like an invisible tether, this act is proof that we are a part of a bigger picture – the circle of life. Very Lion Kingesque if you think of it, but it’s just as tangible as the air and water that surrounds us.

The same exact desire to take part and belong resonates in Lex Leosis’ latest song ‘Too Close’. Released April 21st in all major streaming platforms via Distorted Muse and Fontana North. ‘Too Close’ is a track that reels us in closer and get to know thyself better. To take the time to befriend ourselves and perhaps be our own best friend. Not because we choose to be lonely, rather as an act of ultimate self love most especially amidst a relationship.

With bars and instrumentals that leave us audiences in a trance. Lex Leosis makes sure we hear her message loud and clear. For all it’s worth, she wants us to cut ties with harmful habits, toxic people and exes. Finally arriving at a point where we can echo along with her the lines “One lie, questions all the truth. I won’t stick around. I got my proof.”. As if a friend who’s been with us from the beginning. She want us to live life in the happy lane knowing fully well what we’re worth.

To walk away with our head held high from the wrong people, places and situations without any remorse. Appreciating who we are, where we came from and what we stand for instead of letting others dictating their own POV. That’s a dream and challenge rolled into one right there. The key to achieving it? Be “Too Close. You a little too close” to yourself than ever before.
