Norwegian Electro-Pop Princess Astelle Debuts Single “K Boy Bye” 

Up and coming Electro-pop artist, Astelle, debuted her new solo single, “K Boy Bye”, on March 4th. Described by Astelle as upbeat and uplifting, her new single centers around reminding women of their worth -and, of course, having fun at the club. Drawing inspiration from both reggae and pop, “K Boy Bye” is the anthem for your next girls’ night out. 

Astelle’s vocals are seductive, calm, and collected -dripping with the familiar syrupy smoothness of American artist Ariana Grande. Produced by Jann Coucheron-Aamot and Jorgen Rivrud Trooyen, the single masterfully layers Astelle’s melodic vocals with a high energy reggae-fusion beat.“K Boy Bye” is the ideal song for getting ready to go to the club; Astelle’s powerful presence matched with the electric dancehall track makes it impossible to not have a quick confidence boost when listening. 

Producer Jann Coucheron-Aamot had originally connected with Astelle through Instagram, leading them to begin a collaborative relationship that later produced Astelle’s first single “K Boy Bye ”.

“I’m glad we did because that was the beginning of a great and long cooperation and also the beginning of “K Boy Bye”, said Astelle. Coucheron-Aamot had been the first to introduce Astelle to the process of creating a single; “I have never been involved in such a process before…I was nervous but so determined and excited! And it turned out to be a success! The vibe in the studio was magical and the productivity and creativity were on a whole ‘nother level! We all came along immediately”.

The first day of creating “K Boy Bye” had been a 12-hour process, according to Astelle -stating that it has been spent tracking an “insane” amount of vocals to attribute to the richness of the track.
