The Aftershock Festival Drops Packed 2023 Lineup

After such an insane year at Sacramento’s Aftershock Festival last year, I’ll admit that I believed it was going to be hard to top as I eagerly awaited the drop for this year’s lineup. Danny Wimmer Presents launched the full lineup this morning upon higher anticipations than ever.

The West Coast’s Biggest Rock Festival, Aftershock, grows even more in 2023 with its most packed lineup yet offering 95-plus bands over four full days, led by headliners Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold and Korn. The destination event, held at Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA on October 5-8, builds on last year’s record-setting success including an audience of 160,000 music fans and bringing in nearly $30 million to the region.

See the full lineup below:

With some of the best headliners of the day, including Guns ‘N Roses, Tool, and Avenged Sevenfold, this year makes way for many up-and-comers. I believe that if you’re looking for new music to discover in the rock and metal scene, this is the year and this is the festival to be at for the year.

Along with around ninety-five artists over a four day festival, here are just a couple of the artists that are on my radar:

I am a Tool fan, through and through; and seeing that they were this year’s Friday headliner filled me with excitement to witness the unique energy and presence the band has to offer, both in the crowd and in the atmosphere their music creates that is unmatchable live. Babymetal and The Hu will be making their reunion after a successful set in 2019. Though it’s been some time since their debut in this legendary festival, I’m sure their performances will be bigger and better than ever. Other artists that should be on your radar include: Beauty School Dropouts, Starbenders, Seeyouspacecowboy, Tallah, Hanabie. , Rain City Drive, Gideon, and Ayron Jones.
