On May 23, 2025, Cradle of Filth delivered a mesmerizing performance at Sacramento’s Ace of Spades to end their Deliciously Live tour. The band showcased their latest album, The “Screaming of the Valkyries”, alongside classic fan favorites, reaffirming their status in the extreme metal scene.

Opening the evening, a band from the Pacific Northwest, Uada enveloped the venue in a shroud of atmospheric black metal. The band, known for their hooded appearances and minimal stage lighting, created an immersive experience that emphasized their music’s haunting melodies and ferocious rhythms. Tracks like “Snakes & Vultures,” “Djinn,” and “Black Autumn, White Spring” resonated with the audience, showcasing Uada’’s ability to blend aggression with melody seamlessly. Their performance was described as “the tightest and most flawless,” captivating fans with their dynamic stage presence and musicianship.

The evening commenced with the haunting “To Live Deliciously,” setting a dark and atmospheric tone. Dani Filth’s signature vocals resonated powerfully, while new members Donny Burbage (guitar) and Zoe Marie Federoff (keyboards and vocals) seamlessly integrated, adding fresh energy to the ensemble. Federoff’s ethereal vocals on tracks like “She Is a Fire” provided a captivating contrast to Filth’s growls

The setlist masterfully blended new material with classics. “Malignant Perfection” and “Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids” stood out, showcasing the band’s dynamic range and theatrical flair. The venue’s intimate setting amplified the intensity, with the audience fully immersed in the performance

Ace of Spades, known for its close-knit ambiance, proved to be the perfect backdrop for such an intense show. The crowd’s enthusiasm was palpable, with fans headbanging and singing along throughout the night. The band’s interaction with the audience, including Ashok’s engaging guitar solos, further elevated the experience. The combined force of Uada’’s atmospheric intensity and Cradle of Filth’s theatrical prowess made for an unforgettable evening. For fans of the genre, the concert was a powerful end to the tour and showed the enduring power and appeal of black metal.

While this is the end of Cradle of Filth’s North America Tour, starting June 7th, they begin their “Summoned In Summer” tour. You can check all the tour dates and purchase tickets to it HERE from their website. Make sure to follow Glasse Factory for more tour reviews and other music news!
