Canadian drummer and producer RUMPUS is on to make it into some big things; especially with the year he’s been having.

Last month, his single “Set It Off” was featured on HBO’s White Lotus. Additionally, his viral edit of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s “Innerbloom” continues to travel around the globe, garnering support from Tiësto (who played it at Ultra), Dom Dolla, and Kaskade, lighting up iconic stages such as Tomorrowland and Creamfields.

He also just released an EP titled Body Movin‘, showcasing two tracks that stand strong on their own; and together, they make for a unique and high energy combo.

We sat down and chatted with RUMPUS a little after the EP’s release to the dance world. We talked about everything from his punk roots to the balance of underground grit and festival polish. With upcoming stops at Shambhala, Burning Man, and beyond, RUMPUS is clearly moving bodies and making major moves.

Watch the full interview below:

RUMPUS will be hitting more legendary stages this summer with high-voltage live sets (complete with full-on drumming). See if a date lines up near you here. You’re not going to want to miss it.
