Thee Stallion is back and better than ever with the second lead release of her new independent era, “HISS.” Following the long-awaited comeback of Megan after her recent whirlwind of a year, Megan utilizes her signature hard-hitting rap skills over a neck-turning beat.

Continuing her snake motif from last comeback single “Cobra,” Megan shows there’s more to her than meets the eye. Megan uses her skillful wordplay to lay to rest any lingering resentment anyone has with her over events from the past year. She starts off the song with a pseudo-acapella introduction precisely stating this, showing off the signature Hot Girl Coach confidence we all know and love. The lyricism from Megan, which has made her song go viral on social media platforms, addresses one of the hidden issues others seem to have with her; her polarizing presence. Megan acknowledges this fact about her and takes it in stride, informing everyone the real problem lies elsewhere.

Aye, these hoes don’t be mad at Megan

Those hoes mad at Megan’s Law

I don’t really know what the problem is

But I guarantee, y’all don’t want me to start

Using her signature flow, she comfortably slides on the bouncy track, produced by longtime accompaniments for Megan, LilJuMadeDaBeat, Shawn “Source” Jarrett and Bankroll Got It.

Megan brings attention to her ruthless wits and fearless persona, bragging about her sexual prowess and propensity to fame. Throwing shout-outs to Mariah Carey and Kris Jenner, she wonders aloud how her ability to invoke obsession from others could mean a management deal with the Kardashian apparatus.

Megan is beginning a new phase in her artistry, one laced with fresh liberty. After the settlement of her former label, Megan is now considered an independent artist. This means she fully funds her art form regarding music videos, songs, and current projects. She will still be under Roc Nation as far as management, but everything else is completely done by Thee Stallion herself. As the initial spark from this single wears off, a new question emerges: will this string of comeback singles mean there is an album on the way? And how will the H Town Hottie continue her onslaught of tailed reptiles throughout the rest of her promotions?

Make sure to stream “HISS” on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music!
