5 Tips You Should Know For Festival Season

As summer fast quickly approaches us, so does Festival season. And while watching and singing along to our favorite artists, dressing in our best festival fits, and engaging in the craziest weekends is the plan for many of us, safety should always come first.

So imagine, you’re so close to your favorite performer and something terrible happens. Not to them but to you, the crowd starts to gather and you find yourself trampled in between thousands of other fans with no air. That situation could be scary, even deadly for you and the other attendees. Keep five tips in mind to be cautious of before you attend that super awesome festival.

  1. Stay hydrated. Water makes up 70% of the human body. It’s a basic necessity to live. Dehydration can cause exhaustion and dizziness and you might pass out. Make sure to double up on water or drinks full of electrolytes to keep your body in full function.
  2. Be cautious of your surroundings. While you’re in the moment it’s amazing to center in and focus just on performers. But make sure to take a second to look around and notice things that may seem odd or unusual. 9 times out of 10 if it feels weird, it is weird. Trust your gut.
  3. Don’t forget to breathe, if you can’t you need to leave. Breathe, if you feel yourself slowing or struggling to take a deep breath you need to move away from the crowd.
  4. If you feel trapped in a crowd, stay calm, stay standing, and don’t try to push your way through. Though treading water may be something you do while swimming, you can’t fight the waves of a crowd. Don’t push or knee your way through, help others that may be in distress around you, and keep your calm.
  5. Fun comes in all shapes and sizes. Other definitions of a good time may not always equate to yours. Never feel pressured into doing something you simply don’t want to do.

While everyone may not be at a crowd surfing rager festival, knowing these tips can prevent a disaster from happening even at the littlest festivals. Now that you know these tips, you can courageously enjoy your long-awaited festival and enjoy the long summer nights. Check out this amazing resource by edm_maniac.
