WILLOW Reveals Upcoming Album Title & New Single ‘hover like a GODDESS’

WILLOW‘s ride towards stardom separate from her parents has always been a reflective meditation of her core. From a very young age, she chose music as her medium and from there the fire within her spread through her veins and balanced her between genre bending and ethereal recollection. With her wisdom, dignity, and divine feminine energy it was clear that WILLOW was heading in a direction of subversion against the patriarchy– and with her rasp and intensity it’s nothing less than a bonus that she did it enveloped in bitter tasting punk.

Her newest single “hover like a GODDESS” is a metallic delivery of the perseveringly pristine package, a tribute to the times, and a voice to femininity. “Every woman deserves to be worshiped,” she says, “This song is an ode to the divine goddess within us all.” “hover like a GODDESS” is WILLOW in her most authentic form, and although punk rock runs through her roots, it’s a refreshing exploration of what she’s capable of. While surrendering to the complete punk parcel, WILLOW in all stages of her career have an opportunity to come through. Careful not to succumb to a distinctive and caged in persona, WILLOW melded her periods together to become a remarkably diverse vocalist.

As this track bellows with ferocity, WILLOW’s voice prevails with a scratching yet smooth projection–while taking a breath during the moments of delicacy, exquisitely personified in the accompanying visualizer (Jaxon Whittington & Dana Trippe). She is a quick-moving artist and her music follows her every breath, but walks a step behind to create an illusive diversion–becoming two separate entities that present two separate experiences. “hover like a GODDESS” is a meticulously dubbed track with breathtaking production. Among thick, buzzing guitars and foundational battering drums there’s a freshly sour taste that involuntarily lifts you above the suffocating rubbish, and for a moment reminds you of your worth.

Along with her new single, WILLOW announced the title and release date of her forthcoming album. On September 23 <COPINGMECHANISM> will be in our grasp and blasting through our speakers. Although a brand new sound compared to her previous discography, there will be a few familiar tracks joining the gratifying emo girl.
