WILLOW Announces New Album Release Date + Set to Play SNL 10/8
It’s been years since Willow Camille Reign Smith aka “Willow” first mesmerized us with the viral hit “Whip My Hair”. She had quite young, sported long hair, innocent and very much willing to rock the world’s stages like the queen that she is. Nowadays, that’s changed quite drastically with her new do, and that new free flowing perspective of life. If you were to ask what happened to that willingness to rock out everywhere, it’s still there this time though coated with a different purpose entirely – to reach people in a deeper way through lyric and beat. Oh, how time flies!
In another effort to give us that unique soul grabbing musical experience, Willow just announced the new release date of her anticipated album entitled “<COPINGMECHANISM>”. Set to come out this October 7th in all major platforms, this is packed to the brim with 11 tracks that will help you cope with life in the most extravagant ways possible. Here’s the complete track list if you’re curious: “<maybe> it’s my fault”, “Falling Endlessly”, “Curious/ Furious”, “WHY?”, “<COPING MECHANISM”, “Split”, “Hover Like A Goddess”, “Ur A <stranger>”, “Perfectly Not Close To Me (Feat. Yves Tumor)”, “No Control” and “BATSHIT”.
While majority of the songs on the list aren’t out in the open just yet recent samplings like “Furious/ Curious” and “<maybe> it’s my fault” already captured the hearts of the masses and critics alike. Take for example The Fader who gives “Furious/ Curious” words of praises like “Smith’s impressively elastic vocal chords explode into a controlled stream over crunchy, pummeling guitar.”. For a song to strike a chord effortlessly and effectively, you’ve got to be a musical genius and Willow is exactly that. There’s no other way around it. With that being said, this is another upcoming record that’s sure to be a banger not just in the US but the world over.
Coupled with the <COPINGMECHANISM> announcement, she is also set to play in SNL (Saturday Night Live) this October 8th with host Brendan Gleeson. So, check your local tv guides for the schedule or simply go to NBC’s SNL page for more information.
