WHO WAS GEORGE MICHAEL REALLY? NEW DOC ANSWERS JUST THAT!
Do you remember the first time you heard a song of his? For me it was “Last Christmas” playing through our old stereo boxes from one of my mother’s extensive CD collections. She was (and still is) a huge George Michael fan, playing his songs whenever she wanted to take a trip down memory lane to less complicated times. In a sense that made me create this special bond with this “old” singer and his music. George reached many people with his emotional, heart-break ballads and catchy pop songs. But who really was George Michael, the man behind the gorgeous hair and charming looks? The new documentary GEORGE MICHAEL: PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST (Amazon Prime Video, Apple iTunes, Google Play) tells the story of the many ups and downs of his life and the price he had to pay for love.
The documentary gives a raw and candid look behind the scenes from the perspectives of the people who really knew him best – his music manager Simon Napier-Bell, his longtime lover and partner Kenny Goss, fellow luminaries Stevie Wonder, Rufus Wainwright, Stephen Fry, and many more.
