In early May, Katie MAC released her first single of 2020. At the end of June, the “No Fun” music video came to match.

Hailing from Kansas, Katie MAC is one of the newest additions to the Nashville pop scene. The teeny bopper released her debut album, “Tears like Glitter” in June of 2019. The record hit over 500 thousand in months. As she continued to release music, Katie MAC’s fan base quickly grew, generating over a quarter million streams. Similar to other pop artists, Katie MAC’s lyrical aspects are inspired heavily by real-life experiences. In this, the musician allows a layered insight to who Katie MAC truly is—both as a person and a musical artist.

Katie MAC was coming in hot the month of May, and this music video was a clear identification of her spot in the Nashville pop scene. With Talia Stewart as her creative director, the “No Fun” video is actually quite a blast. Color themed in light pinks and blues, Katie MAC shows her bubble gum pop side. Her mid-western playfulness is demonstrated with cow print bikinis, cowgirl hats, and bandana-wrapped boys. It’s clear each aspect of the video was meticulously planned.

“No Fun” is a catchy, girly pop dance anthem, bound to be stuck in your head after the first chorus. Katie MAC is everything we love to hear in a pop artist, and her newest music video is no different!
