VAN GO GO’S RELENTLESSLY ENERGETIC “GET UP TO YOU” IS THE MOTIVATIONAL SINGLE GUARANTEED TO INSPIRE ANY LISTENER

While Van Go Go may not have started releasing music since the early days of the pandemic, its band members — comprised of Nathan Mackinder (vocals / guitar), Jason Schaller (lead guitar / vocals) Paxton Olney (bass / vocals) and Jonah Brockman (drums / vocals) — have been veterans of the music industry for over 20 years. Van Go Go actually started as a band in 2008 and, through a series of twists in turns in each member’s life, has now emerged with a more polished and mature sound than ever before. With their latest single, “Get Up To You,” listeners can very nearly hear the story of the band in its lyrics, especially the catchy chorus: “Its been a long long long long long / Road that I’ve been driving / To get back to you / It’s been a tall tall tall tall / Mountain I’ve been climbing / To get up to you.” With its 1980’s synth vibe combined with elements of pop rock guitar riffs from the 2000’s — not to mention a wonderful David-Bowie-meets-Jarvis-Cocker vocal performance — “Get Up To You” is the perfect pulsing, motivating song for anyone looking to tackle their dreams. As Van Go Go says about the track:

“’Get Up To You’ is about the journey to achieve the love you deserve. There are a lot of incredible stories out there of how people ended up together. Seems like for the majority, it didn’t come easy and there were a lot of long hard roads and tall jagged mountains to climb to get to a place where things worked out. But in all instances, it was an extreme desire and prophetic love that made it worth the voyage.”
