Based in Nashville, post-hardcore outfit, southpost, offered up their newest single, “T.Y.T,” last Friday, December 2nd; available now on all streaming platforms. The three-piece rock band from Weston Florida grew up together and attended the same high school. The boys shared a diverse love for acts such as Misery Signals, Death Cab for Cutie, Smashing Pumpkins, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, and more.
Guitarist Ryan and Guitarist Logan met in second grade when Ryan pushed Logan off the monkey bars. Fast forward seven years, enter Drummer and Pretty Boy, Angelo. The three dummies played music together from high school and kept it going through college. After graduating from different schools, they all reunited in Nashville, TN where they live and make music together now.
“T.Y.T” follows the projects previous track, “Season’s Change,” which slowed things down with vulnerable acoustic guitar tones and raw lyrics, “T.Y.T,” showcases the band’s next step in their journey shows a new side to the band. The song’s infectious guitar riffs compliment the lead vocals in their powerful message.
