A Look into THE SWEET KILL’s Single “DARKNESS”
THE SWEET KILL is a one-man Post-Punk, Dark & Gothic artist. With a sound fused with synths, an atmosphere of guitar and melodic bass, this multi-instrumentalist and vocalist curates the dark wave masterpieces driven by romantic sorrow and laments of The Cure and Joy Division.
A cinematic debut for the artist, “DARKNESS,” explores an atmosphere of dark and gothic bliss, while contrasting with romantic imagery in the lyrics. The intensity of the track continues to build as two lovers begin to realize that their attraction to each other is a volatile one that will destroy each other. However, both of them are so lost in one another that they seemingly cannot pull away due to the magnetic pull of attraction that continues to hold them together despite all odds.
I wrote DARKNESS to uplift and inspire those lost in the shadows of life.
