The Black Keys Release “Wild Child” Music Video from Their Anticipated Album Dropout Boogie
Not only have the Black Keys announced their new album Dropout Boogie (out May 13th), but on the same day, they released the new music video for their single, “Wild Child”.
Along with a new album and single, the Black Keys announced their tour (with special guests Band of Horses), starting on July 9th in Las Vegas, NV and ending on October 18th in Dallas,TX. Other musical guests include Ceramic Animal, Early James, and the Velveteers (only in select cities).
Although it’s a few months until both the album drops and tour starts, fans can satisfy their Black Keys fix with the entertaining “Wild Child” video.
Watch “Wild Child” here:
Combining humor with their notable sound, “Wild Child” embraces its name by taking place at a fictional high school where both the students and teachers go wild. The video begins in the teachers lounge, where all the teachers are lamenting about the students’ antics. Then, Dan and Patrick enter, going undercover as a cafeteria worker and janitor, in order to “reconnect with their blue collar roots… FOR THE ALBUM”. The music starts up, and so begins the montage of wild antics that the pair observe (and even partake in) around them.
From teachers filming for their OnlyFans during school, to students fighting, just to “kiss and make-up”, this high school earns its “Wild Child” name. Once they can’t take it anymore, Dan and Patrick put in their resignations, and drive off in their sweet rides.
A fun video to watch, set to another great song from the Black Keys, “Wild Child” is a new classic that must be put on repeat. If you like “Wild Child” and want to hear the rest of the album, make sure to pre-order Drop Out Boogie.
