Live music has risen from the ashes like a phoenix. The world is finally starting to get tour rollouts and festival announcements again. One of the most recent tours being added to the already stacked fall calendar is a co-headlining US arena tour of Evanescence and Halestorm!
The 15-stop tour will start in the Pacific Northwest (Portland, Oregon, specifically) on November 5th and slowly make its way across the United States, finishing in Worcester, Massachusetts, on December 18th. There are some cities missing from the tour that could potentially spark festival speculation for this fall or next year (*cough* Chicago and Milwaukee *cough*), but they’re likely keeping the tour light in order to get back in the swing of things. Going straight into an all-out world tour after a year away from everything is likely not the safest move.
Evanescence is best known for their song “Bring Me To Life,” but they most recently dropped the album The Bitter Truth on March 26th, 2021. Songs like “The Game Is Over” harken back to that first hit while songs like “Wasted On You” synthesize modern production techniques with the 2000’s rock sound to create something unique. Overall, they have remained consistent throughout their entire existence.
Halestorm, meanwhile, has been just as consistent, putting out their most recent album in 2018 and confirming in January of 2021 that recording has started on their next album. They’re most notable for winning the Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for the song “Love Bites (So Do I).” Together, the frontwomen of these bands (Amy Lee and Lizzy Hale) have collaborated on several projects, including their female rock-star powered single “Use My Voice,” though this appears to be the first time the two full bands have toured together. It’s exciting to see these two bands co-headline together!
