TECH N9NE, an American rapper well known for his crazy fast flow visited Denmark recently to promote his latest record called ‘N9NA’. Together with Glasse, we have visited Pumpehuset where the show organized together with All Things Live agency took place.
The event began quite early on the stage outside of the club, where hip hop beats were provided by DJ’s from early evening on. This part of the night was concluded with the bars of a young British rapper Nafe Smallz. His set was amazing but it was time to move inside to the main stage as this crazy night of music was just getting started.
By the time I managed to get inside of the club with other fans the first act was just moments from beginning the show. Negash Ali is a rapper with an incredible history. Eritrean who was born in the refugee camp took a long way from harsh start to touring with names like Ne-Yo, Wiz Khalifa, and Nas. Negash Ali performed a half-hour long set where he managed to deliver his dose of music as well as move the club and get people warmed up before the main part of the show.
It was a dark stage with the huge logo of Strange Music label was first approached by two security guards to shortly introduce the star of the night – TECH N9NE himself. Rapper from Kansas City entered the stage hidden wearing the red skull shape mask covering his face started the show throwing the rhymes with the speed of machine gun. Fast and energetic ‘N9na’ and ‘Stamina’ were followed by bigger and more melodic hits like ‘Riotmaker’ and ‘Am I a Psycho’. The club was partying like crazy when Tech N9ne introduced another rapper on stage – Krizz Kaliko. He entertained the audience with his hit ‘Anxiety’. Later in the set Tech N9ne took off his mask to present his face painted in the way like what he presented in his last music videos. The night was closed after over an hour-long performance of Tech N9ne when the venue was slowly getting abandoned by the fans.
