If you’ve seen the trailer for “Raya and the Last Dragon”, coming to Disney+ on March 5th, then you’re probably going to recognize this fun new single. It’s from Tamara Bubble and between its riveting bassline and self-assured vocals, “I’m That Good” is an addictive and high-energy single that will get you feeling like you’re starring in an action movie.

Tamara is an artist who effortlessly floats across genre lines, letting no one genre define her. Blending pop, R&B, jazz, soul, and hip-hop with raw vocals and heartfelt emotion, Tamara creates timeless hits that will bea round or years to come. She has opened for some major acts, including Lil Mo, Joell Ortiz, Cassidy, Yo Gotti, and has performed at the A3C Hip-Hop Festival, iMusic Festival, Southport Spring Festival, and Apollo Theatre. She has had some major licensing wins independently and now with her self-run sync agency, For Goodness Sync. Her songs have been featured on BET’s “Hustle in Brooklyn“, promotion for different shows on Hulu, NBC, HBO, CW, product commercials, and now most recently, a Disney movie trailer.

With that kind of fast-growing upward trajectory, it’s hard to argue with the titles of her tracks on her latest EP, Your Favorite Girl is a Rapper 2, which includes “I’m That Good.”

This spirited track uses resounding bass, invigorating percussions, and driving drum beats to create a charged backdrop for Tamara’s hard-hitting vocals. Not only are her vocals measurably direct, with every breath going to a bar that adds to her overall message, but her lyrics are also charismatic and driven. This is is a woman who knows her self-worth and isn’t afraid to let people know, and more power to her for her steadfast confidence. It’s so important, especially given how male-dominated the rap/hip-hop industry remains, that she spreads this message of certainty and tenacity. It’s easy to see why Disney would have tapped her for this track to include on their trailer – it fits the storyline perfectly and the production really just can get the people going.
