Indie folk artist T.I.G.Y. just released their  newest single, “Yellow Lines.” A psychedelic, dreamy take on alternative pop, “Yellow Lines” confronts the trauma of coming-to-age and how painful letting go of one’s childhood could be. Known for their powerful lyricism and emotional vulnerability, T.I.G.Y. is not afraid to tackle sensitive subjects and interpret them in a totally unique way through sound.

According to T.I.G.Y., “’Yellow Lines” was “written at home on our piano. It’s about the challenges of transitioning from adolescence into adulthood and was inspired by watching the struggles of those close to us.”

This song was recorded with producer Cameron Blackwood using vintage synths, drum machines & beautiful guitars. The release will be supported by a music video, lyric video and a BBC Introducing live session as well as live shows in London, Brighton, Cardiff and Surrey.

Hailing from the United Kingdom, T.I.G.Y. stands for ‘thoughts I give you,’ a tribute to the band member’s late aunt who was the muse of their debut single, “Only Way to Let the Light In,” released in 2021. Their debut EP, ‘Sunny Dog Days,’ was released on May 19 the following year. An introspective album, this collection explored themes of hearts and minds, motherhood, troubling times, nature and complicated love.

T.I.G.Y have had their original releases supported by BBC Introducing, who have described them as a “dreamy, halcyon pop group from generations past to generations future.” T.I.G.Y. will follow the release of their EP with their debut album in 2023, as they continue to lay roots in the UK live scene.
