‘SUGAR PIE’ BY T-FINNY CAPTURES RELATIONSHIP ANXIETY LIKE NEVER BEFORE
Hey, there sugar pie! If you’re a fan of laid-back indie pop and “Cake by the Ocean” then you will obsess over T-FINNY’s newest track “Sugar Pie” (see what I did there earlier). The former pro athlete turned musician is now making waves in the music scene and this release is all about admiring his gf and that tinge of jealousy he gets when she’s looking a little too good when going out with the girls (meant in a joking way ofc we don’t tolerate toxic masculinity here).
T-FINNY described the inspiring moment that led to the birth of this song like this:
“I hadn’t seen her in a really long time and felt as though we were growing apart, and one night before I was planning to come see her she decided to go out with her girlfriends… and maybe it was the distance talking, but seeing her leave for the bar after not seeing her for a while… I had to turn to music to make me feel better and convince MYSELF that everything is GOOD and she will be coming back to me and only me. So, a tough situation everybody has to deal with in life, turned FUN and ended up being this awesome tune!”

With lyrics like “I wanna undress you real quick, sugar pie”, you can’t help but feel a little bit of that jealousy and attraction all at the same time. And let’s be real, who hasn’t felt that way before? T-FINNY captures that feeling perfectly and makes it into a song that’s impossible not to sing along to.
