Stranger Than Revs Up for a Rooftop Concert at the Petersen Automotive Museum
Stranger Than, the celebrated LA nightlife promoter, is bringing the first ever concert series to the Petersen Automotive Museum rooftop on July 2nd. Tickets went on sale Monday, and while still available, they are selling fast. With headliners Dead-Tones and Adam Ten, the rooftop concert is sure to be an important evening for lovers of electronic music and cars.

Since the inception of electronic music, there has been a deep intertwining with automotive culture. Detroit, the automotive center of the country, was home to futuristic visions of techno, and car-hub Germany’s post-war industrial landscapes and iconic Autobahn that went on to inspire the sounds and pace of Kraftwerk. Therefore, nightlife powerhouse Stranger Than seeks to honor this connection through this partnership with the Petersen Automotive Museum. The event will bring the first-ever music programming to the institution’s design-forward rooftop with the Dead-Tones, underground maven hailing from LA, and Adam Ten, Israeli rising star, as two of house and techno music’s most respected selectors.

The Petersen Automotive museum has had a strong cultural impact on Los Angeles by celebrating the artistry and innovation of the automobile industry since the museum and non-profit’s founding in 1994. It houses a variety of vehicles, from vintage classics to sparkly modern supercars. Their collection of over 300 automobiles takes car enthusiasts on a captivating journey through the history of the auto industry. Further, its position as this event’s host is an architectural feat, with an exterior stainless-steel ribbon facade. Ticketers can purchase access to three floors of the museum before reaching the rooftop.

The duo of Stranger Than and the Petersen Automotive Museum works smoothly, exemplifying Stranger Than’s reputation of putting on an unforgettable show. Stranger Than is led by founder Tal Ohana, responsible for debuting numerous urban venues throughout Los Angeles, such as Grand Park on the steps of City Hall and El Pueblo in front of Union Station. The musical curation and production has positioned them as the premier house and techno promoter.
