Spray Allen, an Unruly Covid Recruited Band, Releases “Sabotage” to Tease Their Quarantine-Produced Double Album

I like this song because it has an organic feeling of a well-produced song from the inside of some randomly talented and familiar-sounding guy’s basement. I say that meaning it’s written simply, but the melodies get the listener hooked and the delivery of the lyrics are intriguing. Spray Allen is wildly expressive in the nuance of the vocals, creating an animated sonic experience and definitely inspired by reggae, punk and ska music. The drums and guitar on this soft rock track have a solid groove from start to finish.

Sabotage” was written by Eric Wilson from Sublime, Wade Youman from Unwritten Law, Lonner & Sherman from Late Night Episode, and Paul Learly from Butthole Surfers. Together they create the nostalgiac sounding musical ensemble Spray Allen, who recorded a 27-song double album during covid lockdown, yet to be released. The second track on it is the track you’re reading about!
