On September 30 of this year, Panamanian singer/songwriter Sofía Valdés released a new single, “Wish You Well,” via Warner Records. This new track is a dynamic and tongue-in-cheek addition to Valdés’s dreamy and eclectic portfolio in the pop music world.

The twenty-year old singer shared her moment of inspiration for this track, recalling a darker moment in her life when she felt betrayed by her close friend. Valdés states, “[Wish You Well] was written about that moment in anger. Those 30 minutes while writing this song were a full release/let go process for me.”
Hailed by Billboard as “an eclectic singer-songwriter who’s a total vibe”, Valdés creates emotionally vulnerable pop music that stems from a heartfelt place thoroughly explored. Her music is honest and beautiful, belying her tender age with a talent that has touched millions of listeners as of 2021. Her hit single, “Handful of Water,” currently has 1.3M+ streams across many multimedia platforms.
Her story has been heard far and wide, garnering praise from prestigious press such as W Magazine, Interview Magazine, V Magazine, ColorsxStudio, and more upon her debut EP release. Valdés caught the eye of the renowned luxury brand, Chanel, who brought her on as a brand ambassador for their Latin American market. She also made her digital debut at Sundance Film Festival back in January, performing at their 2021 official music event, Sound & Vision, and also performed a set for NPR’s “World Café” from her home in Panama.
Valdés will join Boy Pablo for their North American tour this fall. To purchase tickets, follow this link to get a scoop of all the dates and locations where they’ll be performing!
