On January 21, alternative pop singer, songwriter, and producer Slush Puppy returns with his first release of 2022, “NIGHTMARE!” which is available to stream on all digital platforms via Disruptor Records.

“NIGHTMARE!” teases the upcoming release of Slush Puppy’s debut EP, which will be released later this year. This single also follows the release of Slush Puppy’s August 2021 viral hit song, “EAT SPIT!” which features American singer and songwriter, Royal & the Serpent. The song quickly became viral and accumulated over 20 million streams worldwide and has been used in 20K+ TikTok videos, as well as indie-pop breakout singles “Barbie Doll” and “Juliette,” which earned spots on highly coveted playlists across Spotify (Global and U.S. New Music Friday, LOREM, and All New Indie) and Apple Music (New Music Daily, Alt Pop, and Pop Chill).  On the release of his new single, Slush Puppy shares that he “woke up from a nightmare and started spittin’… here’s what came out of it.”

Ones to Watch has ranked 20-year-old San Diego native Slush Puppy as an Artist to Watch this year. Slush Puppy’s popular singles such as “I Don’t Like Your Friends” and “Sunroof” showcase his ability to marry sadder lyrics with more happy and upbeat instrumentals. His carefree tone accompanied by complimentary melodies helps create a sincere connection between his music and his listeners. Each of his records brings in a new and different element in his music in the hopes of normalizing variance and change in music.  Although each song varies heavily in mood and structure, Slush Puppy always manages to tell a story through both his lyrics and his production.

As we await his new EP with bated breath, stream his new single “NIGHTMARE!” here.
