Although summer can be a vibrant season for many, it can also invoke bouts of sadness and nostalgia for others. Dutch producer San Holo spreads a message of hope with his new single “Tiny Flowers” off of his forthcoming album EXISTENTIAL DANCE MUSIC.
“Tiny Flowers” is an uplifting, melodic drum and bass anthem that discusses the beautiful things in life. It alternates between dance and soft piano verses that consist Holo’s nurturing vocals.
On the song, Holo comments on the story behind it.
“’TINY FLOWERS’ is a song about coping with depression. It’s a reminder that no matter how cold and gray the journey through life might get, you can always find tiny flowers on the side of the road. Little glimpses of beauty are to be found all around us but so easily overlooked.”

Just because dance music has been created to physically enjoy, does not mean that it should be devoid of any messages that can inspire. Holo is on a mission to redefine EDM as music that will allow you to take the messages with you.
“Music has always been a way for me to express feelings that I can’t describe with just words… Words alone rarely capture something’s pure essence and music seems to get a lot closer to capturing those feelings. Life is so existential by nature; We’re all looking for meaning in this world, and I’m fascinated by our personal journey of finding purpose. At the end of the day, we all wanna see the light and feel connected to our true selves and the world around us; We want to feel at peace. Existential Dance Music is all about this journey through life. Our journey to light. The lows, the highs, the hellos, the goodbyes…”
