ROCK’N’ROLL LEGENDS JOIN GUITARS FOR PEACE TO SUPPORT UKRAINE
“We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let’s start giving”, with these inspiring words from Michael Jackson’s iconic peace anthem “We are the world”, we have been shown that music brings people together and has the power to inspire change. With that spirit in mind, Gibson, the iconic American-made instrument brand, and Gibson Gives’s philanthropic organization have mobilized the force of music to support the Ukrainian Relief efforts. Gibson has created a limited edition run of four Guitars For Peace Les Paul Custom electric guitars decorated with various designs featuring the azure blue and gold colors of the Ukrainian flag. To raise awareness for the cause the organizations teamed up with some of the world’s most famous names in the Rock’N’Roll business. Over 15 musicians were given unique guitars to perform on stage during their tours this summer.

An autograph book was added to each guitar, traveling along with it to be signed by all the great musicians who played with it. Some of the names in the book are Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Slash, Fher Olvera of Maná, Nile Rogers of Chic, Mark Knopfler, Lzzy Hale, Margo Price, Alex Lifeson, Blossoms, The Fratellis, Kasabian, Madness, Maisie Peters, Paloma Faith, The Charlatans, The Vaccines, Toyah, My Chemical Romance, and actor Jason Momoa, among others. Gibbons will also release a limited edition of Guitars For Peace T-Shirts which will be available on their website.
On October 11, bidding will open for the Gibson Guitars For Peace Ukraine guitars and their autograph books as part of Julien’s Auctions, the world record-breaking auction house to the stars, “Icons & Idols: Rock ‘N’ Roll” live auction. The bidding ends in live public auctions on Friday, November 11, Saturday, November 12, and Sunday, November 13, online via www.JuliensLive.com and in-person at the Hard Rock New York. 100% of the funds from the sale of Gibson Ukraine guitars and the Guitars For Peace T-Shirts will be donated to immediate humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine through the Disaster Emergency Committee, a portion of the funds will also be used to re-establish music programs in Ukraine when the conflict ends.
