Rapidly Rising Israeli Pop Star Gali Givon Releases Bold New Single “Better”

Israel-based pop artist Gali Givon delivers yet another explosive and emotional expression of herself with her newest single, “Better”. Released today, July 28th, Givon has further established her incredible range as a recording artist, and her dedication to encapsulating raw emotions in their truest form.

The sultry, fiery new single centers around deciding between what you want versus what you know you truly need. “Better” paints a very relatable picture of how difficult it can be to make a decision that might not result in what you really want in the end. Givon’s new single explains how pushing someone toxic out of your life can feel almost impossible, especially when you aren’t necessarily ready to give said person up. The lyrics, “I know better, but I don’t understand / I would do it again, and again and again”, are something we can all relate to in some capacity. This is the beauty of Givon’s discography; despite being a new artist, she seems to remain true to herself and isn’t afraid to express vulnerability through her art.

After signing to the newly established recording label, Universal Israel, Givon has managed to curate her own unique sound through drawing inspiration from grunge, pop, and even some elements of R&B. Many of her early influences were surprisingly based in classic rock -Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Pantera were all massive inspirations to her as a young artist.

“My dad used to go in and out of hospital, so I’d spend a lot of time at home, alone,” says Givon. “I remember the silence being so loud… I had to fill it up with something louder. I needed something to fall into, and rock music was what caught me.”

You can follow Gali Givon and her many upcoming projects on streaming platforms such as SoundCloud, Youtube, and Spotify.
