Post Malone is celebrating the recent release of latest album, AUSTIN, with the final dates of the US tour before he takes the rest of the world by storm.
Read what we had to say about the album here:
We joined Post Malone on his If Y’all Weren’t Here, I’d Be Crying tour in Wheatland’s Toyota Amphitheater on August 15th, 2023…
The fields glowed green and gold in blue hour as Post Malone joined the stage. The day began to cool just enough after reaching the triple digits. By the time he joined the stage it was still 87⁰ but cool winds offered some relief as fans roared in greeting him.
Pyrotechnics and fireworks blazed throughout the performance, coming through the top of the stage and back stage. Stringed instruments played live to harmonize with the effortless atmosphere and vocals that were performed throughout the night. It was much dance party with 20 thousand friends, the energy from the crowd is laid back and just enjoying the atmosphere and taking in the night. Not one soul in the crowd wasn’t grinning from ear to ear.
Post Malone took several moments to fill his red solo cup and thank the fans for coming to his show before playing the next song. Hits old and new were sung word by word from fans, as they echoed him and danced to the beat that thrummed in the ears. Fan favorites included “rockstar,” “Overdrive,” “Runaway,” and of course, “Sunflower” in the encore.
Taking a reprieve mid show, Post Malone invited a fan to play “Stay” on his acoustic guitar. The fan said he came all the way from Chicago to see this set, and stated that Post Malone himself was a big inspiration to him and everything he represented just moments before sitting down to play on his guitar.
“You all look so beautiful out there tonight…” he said afterward. And just before the night came to a close, he took one last moment to thank fans for being there, “Be yourself. Be creative. Do what you want to do in life because there is no one else who can do it like you!”
