Halo – Pendulum & Bullet For My Valentine (Official Video)

Pendulum is composed of Rob Swire, Gareth Mc Grillen, Peredur ap Gwynedd, and KJ Sawka. The group is an unstoppable, award-winning act that has sold out global arena tours. They’ve played to thousands across main stage performances from Glastonbury, Download to Reading, and Leeds, with a recent headlining slot at Ultra Miami. The band will also be performing at Download Festival this year alongside Limp Bizkit at the highly-anticipated one day festival in London’s Gunnersbury Park.

The first single of 2023, “Halo” marks a collaboration to remember as instrumentals bathe the soundscape and contrast Matt Tuck’s signature vocals with an electronic twist. It begins with a quick build and swirl of intensely crafted electronic guitar before sweeping into an intense rhythm throughout the remainder of the introduction. Matt Tuck’s vocals tear into the instrumental melody with ease, and pouring into the chorus, a contrast of clean vocals break into the scene. The entirety of the track is quick, fast paced, and worthy of playing on repeat time and time again.

When it comes to Pendulum, I’ve always tried to create music that sounds like the apocalypse and with ‘Halo’, we’ve gotten closer than ever before. We’ve always had one foot in the metal scene, so collaborating with Matt from BFMV was an incredible experience, and his voice brought something completely unique to the table. Ever since I teased it on Instagram, people (even casual fans) have been asking me: ‘what’s that track where you sing ‘It’s a halo…?’ We’re beyond excited to finally get the track out just in time for Download [Festival] and see people’s reactions.

~ Rob Swire | Pendulum
