Clear Your Calendars for Janelle Monáe’s Upcoming Tour

Janelle Monáe is back!

And she’s coming to a city near you.

The multi-hyphenate recently announced her latest North American Tour in support of her upcoming album The Age of Pleasure. The tour, given the same name as the highly anticipated album, will see Monáe traveling across 26 cities starting in Seatle on Aug. 30.

See all the dates below:

Tickets will be available June 1 with Verizon and general sales will begin June 7. Make sure to snatch them up on Ticketmaster.

The Age of Pleasure — the album — will be out June 9. This will be Monáe’s first album since the masterpiece that was 2018’s Dirty Computer. Listen to the Grammy-nominated LP here:

The 2019 GLAAD Outstanding Music Artist released “Lipstick Lover” as the LP’s single. The song is a sultry track with a funky beat. She calls out to her “Lipstick Lover,” saying:

‘Cause for your love, I’ll take my time

Just wanna feel your hips on mine

“Lipstick Lover” by Janelle Monáe

While the production is fun and captivating, Monáe’s stellar vocals are never lost in the fray. It perfectly sets up The Age of Pleasure to be a sensual work of art. Get in the mood for the release by listening to “Lipstick Lover” below:

While Monáe hasn’t strayed from music since Dirty Computer — releasing songs such as “Stronger” for the Netflix series “We The People” and “Say Her Name (Hell You Talmbout)” — she has been seeing great success in her acting career.

Her recent work in “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Critics’ Choice Awards. Her other work includes “Hidden Figures” and “Moonlight.”
