A live performance review and recap of Paris Paloma in San Francisco; March 25, 2025

We’ve been following Paris Paloma on her music journey for the last couple of years, and it’s been nothing short of inspiring to witness her growth.

We chatted with her nearly a year ago. See the article below:

She recently began her latest US tour, which is to continue through the spring. We joined up with her again in San Francisco, albeit at a bigger venue: The Regency Ballroom. The night featured a sold-out crowd, as well, where the audience dressed in flowing dresses, armor, and flower crowns in honor of the serenade and unity in community.

Paris Paloma joined a stage patterned decorated with string lights and hand-painted banners of fairies and forest animals. These creative touches transformed the stage into a living canvas as chills filled the air and the lights dimmed. From there we drifted into a different world, a hush filling the crowd. “my mind (now)” started to play, and the audience harmonized with a cheer and sang along gently.

The first few songs floated by. Then two other people joined the stage with Paris to sing “knitting song” with her. The song’s meaning- as well as this moment- showcased the sense of community in women uniting with one another and embracing a sense of softness in creating with one another. It also reminded us of how important that connection is in a community.

It quickly became known the sense of confidence Paris displayed in her performance, especially compared to her last time in San Francisco’s The Chapel. She even commented so during a reprieve in her performance.

She also stated:

It’s not lost on me that there are these pockets of community in music especially in the times that have come.

Another highlight of the night included her performance of “notre dame.” As a clear favorite track of mine, personally, I’ve always been moved by hearing the analogy between being elevated in the rafters of a building and feeling distant from the happenings below. Hearing it for the first time live last year in a retired church enhanced that love for the track. Clean, white spotlights poured from the stage onto the crowd, as if the heavens themselves had descended into this plane of existence.

And it was breathtaking to witness the confidence Paris had unleashed into the audience, especially during fan favorites “the fruits” and “labour.” It’s as if the release of her debut album was unleashed, the monster within it defanged, and rebirthed anew.

After the performance ended, the crowd remained. “Soldier, Poet, and King” from The Oh Hellos and “Free” by Florence and the Machine played, and the audience frolicked in the venue as one.
