After debuting Grass Lands in 2018, in 2019 Outside Lands made history by becoming the first major US music festival to legally allow the sales and consumption of cannabis. It was groundbreaking then and in 2021 Grass Lands presented By Eaze will again highlight some of the cutting edge advancements and innovations in the cannabis industry, celebrating, educating, and integrating cannabis products into daily life.
New for this year, patrons can pre-order cannabis products ahead via the Outside Lands mobile app. The app will include ordering within the Grass Lands tab allowing you to conveniently place your order and pick your product up at the Farmers’ Market Dispensary in Grass Lands. Attendees will also be able to purchase onsite as well as dive deeper with each brand at their impressive activations. Grass Lands is strictly a 21+ only experience.
The Town Square, located in the ‘SoPo’ section of Golden Gate Park, will again be home to Grass Lands, bringing California’s best cannabis marketplace to life. Once inside Grass Lands, visitors can stroll down Eighth Avenue, skip up to High Street and check out the Arts District, Farmers’ Market and Consumption Areas for the full Grass Lands experience. Attendees are encouraged to stop by and explore interactive activities, live music, comedy & equity talks, plus enjoy tasty new food vendors. Check out all the details on our Grass Lands page here: https://www.sfoutsidelands.com/grass-lands/ All weekend the Grass Lands Stage will also be showcasing engaging cannabis-themed demos, conversations and music performances hosted by Doug Benson, Ngaoi Bealum and Shane Torres and featuring performances by The Soul Rebels, Nancy Whang, Jazz Mafia and Salami Rose Joe Louis.

Please note to enter Grass Lands, festival attendees will have to show government-issued photo I.D. demonstrating they are at least 21 years old. For more updates please follow @OLGrassLands on Instagram.
As always, Outside Lands will also be featuring the best in culinary with Taste of the Bay Area in addition to Wine Lands, Beer Lands, GastroMagic and Cocktail Magic. Other cultural programming includes Outsider Art and the return of Grass Lands, the first curated cannabis experience at a major American music festival. The spectacular backdrop of Golden Gate Park rounds out the overall experience making Outside Lands a festival like none other.
The safety of the festival remains a top priority and Outside Lands producers are working closely with local and state officials to determine this year’s safety and security measures. The festival announced that all attendees will need to show proof of vaccination or provide a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours for entry. For the latest on festival safety protocols and security measures, please visit the Health & Safety page. Additional information regarding ticketing and general festival questions can be found under FAQs on the festival website.
