Maintaining an authentic presence staying true to her undeniable artistry, Orla Gartland has paved her own lane in the ever-expanding music industry. Amassing an organic fan base of over half a million social followers is no easy feat! Her most recent single “More Like You” is a vulnerable performance which has tracked over 45 million Spotify streams already.

More Like You” is reminiscent of typical Tegan and Sara sounds, with Orla’s softer vocals for a pretty indie-pop vibe. The track opens with Orla’s soft voice smoothly dancing over a simple and cute rhythmic melody of guitar and bass. As the second chorus picks up, so does the instrumentation, eventually pooling into an uplifting indie-pop anthem of self-doubt. She explores her insecurities about all “the things that she will never be,” wanting to be more like her subject… confident and cool. Orla navigates going from obsessing over someone else and all the things she wishes she could be, to trying to live a life with no regrets. Authenticity is the key message here, even if she is sharing the advice that someone else gave her.
