NITTI Unveils Remix of “Sex on Fire”

Miami-based DJ NITTI gives a new spin onto the crowd favorite song that is “Sex on Fire”. Originally by Kings of Leon and arguably one of their biggest spins, NITTI’s remix sees the song be supplied with a series of catchy beats that give it an EDM spirit. NITTI also provides a series of drumlines that would see the remix fall among songs that you could imagine being played at a club or a party. The angst of the original is toned down a little to give way to a song that has a more party atmosphere to it. 

Sex on Fire is one of the bigger indie hits of the late 2000s. It has over a billion streams on Spotify and the official music video on YouTube has over 400 million views. NITTI remixed the song on its 15th year anniversary, helping to put a new spin on it.

While the song is presented in a new context and situation, there are still things older fans of the song can enjoy. The vocals are left mostly untouched and still shine on through. Being an avid fan of rock himself, it is evident that NITTI is still trying to preserve some of the elements that made the original stick out. 

NITTI is the stage name for Ricky Mears, a Billboard and Grammy-nominated Los Angeles-based record producer, vocalist, and DJ NITTI’s remixes have provided him with commercial success, as they have resulted in millions of streams on Spotify. He has worked with major names in the music industry such as Bad Bunny, DJ Snake and Megan Thee Stallion.
